Andyduff gave me this info:

To set base idle - remove yellow connector from back of idle valve (rear pass side of plenum) and turn the screw on the side until the revs are ~700 rpm (think thats right for an NA?), reconnect the yellow connector and sorted

Now I'm just wondering if this yellow connector is the thing right at the back and is really hard to get to? Like a plastic thing.

Cheers

Ok I'm pretty sure this IS the conector. Anyone know which screw I have to adjust?

Ok so I should be able to so this as a bit of research has told me that the connector IS a bugger to get to and its on the IAA unit which also hold this screw I have to adjust. So here I go again......

Ok I found the screw (thanks AndyDuff) it's a big one facing the battery and a pain to get to because of said battery.

Maybe I should have posted this in the 'running commentary' thread!

hehe cheers.

I've documented my efforts today and have put it into the faq section as recomended by Andy.

you have a datascan right? You can just use that to put it in base idle adjust mode.

Oh yeah I saw that option the other day but forgot about it today. how does it work?

turns off the idle air valve, same thing as unplugging it, but without getting dirt under yer finger nails :p

ah right so you'd still have to twist the screw but without removing the yelow connector?
