I've heard that they're good for prolonged sustain but aside from that I haven't a clue. Acrylic bodies have been knocking around since the late 60's/early seventies though. Oh, and I'm pretty sure I'd need to be seated before looking at the price tag...;)

My bass player was going to get one of those from ebay. It wasn't too expensive actually. about 80 quid. At that price though you wouldn't expect it to be too good.

The American one I saw was $1900, and based on an older 1960s/'70s model.

they are just a design change from the norm in my opinion , i chop away at an aria pro 2 and tried an acrylic guitar , no real difference in sustain , tone pitch or feel , apart from seeming a little heavier than my maple bodied guitar .....and they scratch easily and it doesnt mater what side gets scratched , you can see straight through them ...however on the plus , you can get some nice effects with colour changing LED's inside them .

"disco heavy metal" anyone ??
