yup they should, whats the point in joining the army if you dont want to go to war, and saddam needed to be stopped

anway this aint a thread about should we have gone to war or not

they should put him back in power, he'd get all the ****wits back in line again.

Can't say I'm a big fan of the death penalty but he was tried fair and square, or at least to the extent that's possible in Iraq at the moment, and under their legal system the death penalty is an option to punish the kind of crimes he committed, so fair enough. Like you say stella, just slightly concerned it's going to kick off even more violence and put our troops in harms way even more than they already are. Regardless of whether you think the war should have happened or not our soldiers have done an excellent job in an extremely difficult and dangerous situation and I think have earned the right to come home safe and sound.

very well put

Read that there will be an automatic appeal as its a death penalty and could take months to go through.

anyway.....

Saddam has been convicted of crimes against humanity and sentenced to death by hanging.
i could think of a couple of leaders still in power who need to be hanged and the day that happens...... party at my house!

all hell is gunna break loose, after he is hanged, iraq will be in up raw, the world will not be safe ever, there are to many saddam followers. as you all know i worked out there for 2 yrs then 6 months with the army, THE SHIT WILL HIT THE FAN BIG TIME

we are not safe anywere now.

i hate the prick but keeping him alive and in 24 hr lock up would be better for the world.

as for our armed forces been over there, fuking right they shud,

sorry to say this guys but i feel shit now knowing he is gunna be killed, coz i know what will happen, its like opening up pandorras box, but without the fun.

Unfortunately I have a nasty feeling you might be right. :(

I think its about time we showed these fookers what war really is. Stop protecting them with all this bull5hite do-gooder stuff and take it to 'em. waiting for the next bomb is just stupid. Yes karl is right the poop is going to fly but in all honesty the authorities know who half of them are anyway. :headvswal

All in my opinion of course but let him hang.

hang him. hand over power. leave.

we should of sorted this the 1st time round, but politicians are more scared of the vote than they are of the outcome.

dave, you forgot the rest, hang him, hand over power, leave, country cant look after itself, chaos ensues, civil war , millions of dead, iraq go to war with iran who have just gone nuclear, kaboom, kuwait attacked again, and isreal wiped off the earth. Fun huh?

bush and blair should be tried for war crimes.

First off i dont want to condone the actions of Sadam or any other person who tortures and kills other people, HOWEVER i feel i have to disagree with the point made that his trial was fair and square.

I mean, the judge admitted he didnt think that Sadam commited crimes against humanity, so they changed the judge to make sure he was going to be found guilty.

They have thrown out his legal team on multiple occasions after they made a stand against the unfair comments and arguments raised by the prosecution which, in any other court of law would have seen the prosecution held in contempt at the very least.

Furthermore they employed a judge who has a direct relationship with somone Sadam supposedley tortured. Hardly fair and square.

Probably not the best post to introduce myself but "hello".
