Got up this morning to find i have 109 emails, all are Ebay - your listing has started!

some chinese gimp has listed 109 items on my account totaling £142 in ebay fees!

I checked the paypal address he used on the items and its edk83888@yahoo.com.cn - They have made this so it looks like me but .cn is china!

I phoned paypal and they have no record of an account on this email address so maybe he hasnt created it yet, or just screwed up?

All the auctions he listed were 1 day ones, hoping i wouldnt notice!

I was debating whether to just change the paypal address on each one to my real one and take all their money but decided against it - :smash:

All my passwords I changed etc but it took me 30min to cancel all the items they listed and made me almost late for work!

I now have to get ebay to not charge me the £142 Grrrr!

 Always knew I didn't like using ebay. Sorry, I hope Ebay get their act together and sort it out.

they had better refund me quick tho!

Had the same thing a while ago with someone selling tv's. I just reported it to ebay and they cleared up the whole thing with no problems :)

Soooo many bad things you hear about Ebay - and yet people still use it...

I've only used it once to buy something ... and doubt i will again!

Hope its all sorted tho

If they got your password some how, I would look at possibley having a trojan on your computer. You may have a key logger on your computer.

This has happened a lot recently. Do you use any of the Sniping tools ?

Nope i ghosted my machine 2 days ago. I do have a keylogger but i wrote that in C+ and it makes no attempting to connect to any incoming or outgoing ports.

I think either ebay have a leak or they got lucky with a dictionary crack.

I got e-mails too about my ebay account being hacked but they said they'd removed the auctions themselves so they sorted it before I even found out about it. Suffice to say I've made my password harder now too. Glad it got sorted for ya.

i have had a few emails from ebay asking how much is postage to some european country, so as you do you click on it and it asks you to enter your username and password!!

big mistake!

as he then has all your details, & if you check the address bar at the top it wont even be from ebay,

always check messeges from ebay themselves I.E my ebay, my messages.

you have been warned.

guys. very simple.

make sure your email account you use for transaction on conbay is totaly different for any other you use.

that way you can spot any iffy trafic. as soon as that eail gets spam you know you have spyware.
