If you're talking about driving an auto on there i was told the trick is to get to the line first, the other person most likely will try and do stupid burnouts to show off, i just get the wheels wet in the pool, floor it and spin them a little but keep it moving to the start line.

Pull up quickly with overdrive off, power on, left foot on the brake hard, wait till they come to pull up bring the revs up with the right foot to 2k then soon as the lights get to the 2nd from bottom foot off the brake and get the accelerator down to the floor quickly but smoothly and i was getting .5, .3, .6 reaction times and watching some of the later people that was damn good :D

Just have to switch to the 3rd from bottom light and i should get the reaction time down to .2 hopefully

14 seconds! and that was with loads of wheel spin, could of easily made into the 13's with a bit of practice!

I saw you drive past mate but thought you wouldn't recognise me if i waved lol :D

ok so pete and bantum keep schtum about how i managed this because you were their and saw it!!! i've grabbed a shot off of the video my misses took so first pic is the zed i was running (professional photo) and the second is a grab from my video and i promise you i have NOT photo shoped this pic.....

It was great to met you. Not sure but I might have your run on vid. We are still going through them all. We have the Bunny's run ;)

cool, if you do can you get bantum to put it up for me, and he'll let me know? how this happened will become apparent how this happened. people keep saying i've tampered with the pic but i can assure you it's untampered with! i'll try to scan my timing slip if i get a chance

I think you used "smoke and mirrors " to create the illusion!!

I'll give ya one more day of glory before I tell all. :slap:

Or I might extend that on a drink a day basis!!! ;)

No way can some auld datsun do a nine without fairly serious mods.

Now me in my Hillman Imp - that would be a different story... ;)

ok ok, you can stop phoning now! i shall answer all. i think what you need to see is the first picture here and you'll see that i haven't altered this picture at all.

run1.jpg

then look at the pic i posted

run2.jpg

as you can see from these pics my time got posted before i crossed the line.... apparently from time to time debris like rubbish, flyers etc get on the strip, this is what mr feeny believes in this case happened, it must have blowen over the timing gate causing the timinng gate to record a time. on my run slip it says i did the 1/4 mile in 8.933 but it took me 9.something seconds to do 1/8 mile. my slip doesn't have a teminal speed because the computer would have to work out how i travelled through both space and time... hang on am i marty mcfly. cool... bantum you wanna be the doc?

anyway even though its an eronious result i bet their aren't many zed owners out their with a REAL pic or slip like these?

if you have then post them dude's or dudette's

"My god Leeky, by you doing your quarter of a mile in less time than your 1/3 of a mile you'd destroyed the fabric of space and time!"

attachment.php?attachmentid=27319&stc=1

pmsl, i'd prefer not to be rick moranis if possible.. anyway good to chat to you earlier.. maybe we'll have to communicate on this dash idea thingy.... i'll got proto u can be production

The BTTF Deloran would be the ultimate dragster as it could do a quarter mile in like nothing. Oh hang on it would have to get 88.8mph before the finish line and that would never happen! lol

Looks like Black Slag was the fastest 300 on the day.

:hyper: :nana2: :hyper: :nana2:

glad to be of service.

when i left pod i followed a black 300 out onto A45 n we had a bit of a play.

was it anyone off here?

Chris.

Went to pod at the weekend, did 5 runs and got 13.5, 13.4, 13.3, 13.2, and 13.1. not in that exact order but near enough. i was one onf 2 Z's running on the sunday, the other was a swb, no one from here. he said he had bigger turbo's, hks engine management, bigger intercoolers and some other stuff and it was fully stripped out . his best run was 13 dead. there were very few supras getting near them times. My best run i launched at 4k ish and it just lept off the line, i hung 1st n second gear for to long though. well impressed with it though, better than the almera anyway.

danny

Only one man has a real 8 second slip. :)
