Hi, not been around for a while for various reasons I won't go into and bore you with but hope everyone's keeping well. :) However I am a man on a mission. I know a lot of you keyboard Wizards are fantastic at finding things. So here's the deal. I will gladly straight swap my pride and joy for a roland Jupiter8 Vintage synth. Can't tell you how much I desire this piece of musical history. Possibly in someones attic somewhere but I'll never know. Has to be a minter. This might seem strange but possibly Viniboy or PK 1 will understand my fetish!

I'm not joking either. These can sell for between 1-3k when they come on the market and my car is worth a lot more but I'm willing to take the loss. And yes I have been drinking but in a sound state of mind. It is the only thing I would give up my little honey for. See pic.

Don't think I'd send that kind of dosh to him though.

"Please do not contact me using the "Ask seller a question option". I am having problems with that email address. Send all emails directly to "

Hmmm. You might end up with an $1100 fridge magnet ;)

Nice keyboard !! I remember when all the Synth bands used 1 or 2 of these ! In the 80's

Very nice!!!!! bet you're sorry you sold it

Many many moons have past since I owned a Moog. I dont know how many peeps remember them? It was like the synth pictured in Tony's post. Fantastic analogue sounds and I loved the way you could manipulate the frequency to make some really professional effects. Shame I didnt have a clue WTF I was doing..... :xxx:

Now I have decided to keep my Yamaha W7 it is superb the electric guitar voices are almost real especially if you can get the hang of the pitch bend wheel. And you can with the use of the instruction manual get some really rich analogue sounds from it too.

In addition to my laptop which has fruity loops and a couple other progs I should be back producing something worth a listen soon.

BTW Mick. I know it isnt the same mate but for now you can get quite a few programs for the computer that will mimic the roland or similar for the time being?

LOl wish i had a sound card in my computer  But the you would only have to listen to Michael jackson's Thriller album, "relax" by frankie goes to hollywood, Rio by Duran Duran, Howard Jones, the list goes on and on.

And Vinnie, appreciate the advice but I am not getting involved in computers for making music. Very tempting but I made my mind up ages ago. Takes spontanaiety out of the whole thing. For example I purchased a new roland Juno D few months back, which has FM samples of the old Juno and Jupiters on it. When I play a sampled synth lead from the Juno D and compare it to my REAL Juno 6 the difference is astonishing. Roland make crap nowadays. Matter of fact I sample my vintage analogue Juno 6 directly to my Akai sampler and it sounds ten times better without the multimillion equipment roland has. BTW my setup is

Ensoniq ESQ-1 ( my first synth)

Korg x5 (still has its uses)

Yamaha V-50 (Bit tricky with midi but sounds great with a few tweaks)

Roland Juno D ( some great trancy stuff and it has twiddly knobs)

Akai s2000 sampler (Great machine, very clean and precise)

Roland JUNO 6 ( Analogue knob twiddling slider pushing phat rich synth heaven    )

Anyway back on topic, my offer still stands. And Trish, no I cant sing and I completely lack talent, but when I want something I HAVE to have it!

I've had a Juno 106 from new, I also have an S 50 Sampler and a JV 1080. I love the analogue synths !

Have you tried moog Virtual Instrument, it's bloddy good.

or

or even http://www.arturia.com/en/cs80/cs80v.php

amazing how they recreate these classic synths in software.

Personally I find virtual instruments difficult to use, especially when you're after analogue sounds where tweakage is the key.

That said, I'm actually an analogue-modelling fan, rather than real analogue. Fave bits of kit are my Korg Prophecy and Novation Nova. Though the Korg is a pig to programme- you need to know how to create the sound you're after before you start out, not intuitive. Powerful though.

Good luck finding the Jupiter though! :) Nice bit of kit...
