Okay following on from the previous thread started by Dave Marley about bannings please to show if you agree or disagree we should have an additional sticky/thread of users who have been banned with details.

 

No more sillyness, negativity or fighting just constructive thought processes please folks.

 

This is not trying to undermine the mods this is a simple show of hands to see who agrees and disagrees.

Sorry Nick i dont see the point .. as soon as someone gets banned on here its news within 5 minutes and we end up with a 160 page long thread :tongue:

But surely if the reason is given then there's no need to start a thread asking about it is there?

dont agree... it shouldnt be our business.... if the person who gets banned wishes to tell you as a mate why, email, msn whatever... thats his choice.

 

and only reaon i dont think it should be our business is coz when it becomes our business - people rare up and argue about all sorts, then things turn nasty, and instead of one banning, we get 2 or 3 etc...

youre right mate .. but you will always find someone who will be willing to argue the toss .. to be honest mate theres always 3 sides to a story .. 1 persons side , the other persons side .. and the real story ..

I agree that it is none of our business but at least if people know someone's been banned they know how long it's due to last etc. And that way we avoid all these comments about banning etc.

 

If we agree that a list of banned members is published in return for no comment on why they were banned i think is a fair agreement.

I don't mean an exact description anyway i mean as in the rule that was broken from the AUP policy they were removed for breaking.

 

There will always be disagreement on this subject hence the poll.

 

Its obviously subject that people have strong opinions on so its worth discussing properly if we want some change in the forum

Thank you. I think it would avoid the situation we had this time where the assumption was made that a certain mod had done the banning, when it turned out that it wasn't them at all. I presume no mod really wants to get the reputation (especially undeservedly!) of always being the one who bans people! :)

infact why not introduce a card system, gt4oc have a card system where you get a yellow card as a warning( not sure how many you are allowed, i've already got one) nad then say after 3 you get banned and i think thats for life. Not sure how long the yellow cards last either, i've had mine ages.

Maybe have 3 and your banned, each yellow card lasts 2 months.. i dunno ???
