I've removed the standard spoiler from the boot and i now have to slam it to get it closed has this got anything to do with the fact that it s full of holes and there is no perspex panel on it cos it feels like back pressure.

Don't forget the gas struts were designed to lift the weight of the old rubber spoiler too.

Now that's gone so it will need more of a push I 'spose.

i have to slam mine too after removing the spoiler and weight

yeah the spoiler is pretty haevy i'll just have to live with it i suppose cheers lads.

try adjusting the boot catch ;) takes about 5 mins with a 10mm spanner

 

might be that its lighter now and it takes more effort to close

I have a lightweight spoiler and had to slam it but after adjusting the catch up a touch it shuts with a gentle tap :)

wicked, another job for me!

if you leave one of your doors open when you close the boot you will find it will close with a gentle click, then shut your door......
