same as my parents lol. just having a browse and my mates told me theyre paying 800 without bills and tax

I think the price of a mortgage depends how much you borrow - lol

There's always interest only ones etc too whihc are half the price or something.

Someone on here is a mortgage adviser - watch out or they'll appear and sell you a mortgage then while you're slightly confused there'll be a whirl of paper and you'll have bought life insurance, health insurance, buildings insurance, contents insurance, unemployment protection, swamp insurance too. lol

Notingham is still quite cheap - I was there a few years ago - started in Radford, ended up in The Park.

got my house on same estate for 73000 at 470 a month :D

how come you moved to cambs ?? work etc ??

it's even cheaper here i got a 2 bed mid terraced, with garage and off road parking for 3 vehicles, i bough tit in '99 and it cost me £35,000 just had it valued today to change mortgage company and they said it's worth 125-130k

Yes work - I prefered Nottingham to be honest. Great city and the gun crime everyone goes on about is only in tiny little pockets.

ive lived here all my life wouldnt move unless i had to. as far as gun crime is concerned you can get that any where no matter which part of the country you are in, plus its all drugs/gang related as long as you keep away from these peeps/situations you have nothing to worry about unless your at the wrong place wrong time etc

fook that mine is £360 although when I first took it out (10 years ago) it was a struggle to manage even that!

lol its not that bad bud things have calmed down

I think mine's going to weigh in at around 950 per month. That's for a three-bed end-terraced place with a driveway and a reasonably big garden out in a village. Think twice that for the same thing in town. It's nuts.

Why didn't I buy a house 10 years ago? D'oh!

Now that I think about it, it was the only good thing to come of getting married - at least it got me on the property ladder early. Now all I have to do is buy that bitch of an ex out of her half :p

whereabouts in W.London are ya indianzx? as you probably gather - the cost of your mortgage is gonna depend on the cost of your house/flat!!! Whats the house prices like in your area? Have you got a deposit?

got 3 bed semi with garage, parking for 2 and a lickle garden for £155000 last year daan sarf.

for me on a £122000 mortgage interest only @ 4.79% for 25 years came out to £482 a month.

.........

What he said!!

The problem is the price of houses means people have to borrow a hell of a lot now, unless they have a big deposit or bought 10 years ago and have plenty of equity in their old house when moving now.

I moved in March this year after selling my first home, which I had since 1997. It was fortunate for me, as my mortgate is now barely 40% of the price of my new house and not even twice my annual salary.

I do feel for first time buyers now as they have to borrow loads - often 5 times their wages just to buy a small flat in London or the home counties

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

thats too much for me 400 is just fine

You will not get much more than £60K over 30 years for that! You may buy a shed or garage in London area!
