I have been looking on the net for a good picture of the V-Force (Vulcan, Victor and Valiant) all together as wallpaper. Cant find anything anywhere. Anyone wish to help me out and point me in the right direction? :hyper:

I see a Vulcan Bomber quite often when i go past southend airport

Yep. And what a noisey fooker it is too. My tennis club is at teh end of a runway more or less, there is a colf course in between but the fooking thing is defening.

I didn't know there was a Vulcan still flying! It would be worth the drive to Southend to see it.

Its not flying they wont give this one a licence they just do runs up and down the runway or start the engines up, still worth the look especially when southend air show is on as many of the aircraft come in on the sat, harriers jaguars, tornado's etc. I do remember seeing a vulcan fly at southend air show it was a white one what a funny noise it made.

I think there is going to be one allowed to fly they where after funds but think they reached their target.

I remember seeing the Vulcans atthe airshows as a kid. Most noisey plane I've ever heard!!

I'm lucky enough to live only a few miles from Fairford (in fact I often watch the air show from my back bedroom window) and I remember a few years ago driving on the Cirencester to Fairford road on a show day. Suddenly, right overhead a Vulcan appeared doing a 'wing-over' must have been no more than 3 or 4 thousand feet. It was one of the most spectacular sights I have ever seen. What a beautiful aircraft it is, certainly on a par with Concorde if not better.

as a kid I lived just outside Finningley air base and the Vulcans and Lightenings used to put down the undercarriage just over our house .I honestly dont remember them being very noisy but looking spectacular

Its been grounded for years, but I cant wait to see it fly, cant be long till they finally finish it now.
