    Initial reports are saying it was a stingray who's venom is pretty weak, and that there was only 1 other death by stingray ever recorded, back in 1945.

     

    Sting went through wetsuit and near the heart.

    Just read all the info and the sting rays barb, like a knife or bayonet,went straight into Steves heart but the main damage was when it came out as its serrated.Unrecoverable injury.The poor Guy did'nt have a prayer.A very sad loss.Top bloke and will be missed. R.I.P Steve........Jackie & Vinz
