Need to get a new sofa and just wondered if anyone has a leather sofa and a dog and if so, how does the leather hold up to a dog getting on it?

metal bar isnt a bit extreme when you consider that i have a small daughter that he could attack. he learnt very quickly that if he growled or snapped at my daughter he got hit. subsequently he didnt do it again. you cant let these dogs get away with it or they will take over your house. they are pack animals and males especially will want to be top dog.

dont mean to sound offensive but where did you get the information that a japanese akita is a cross between a husky and a wolf from? i am a member of the akitas owners club and them dont seem to support that claim
