Does anyone know of a system that could replace sky plus (****ers) Telewest/NTL are introducing a system at the end of the year but I just wondered if anyone knew of something out now?

there was something called TiVo that was launched (i think) before sky+ cam out

 

not sure if its still around and i think it might have only been available in london/south but could be worth a look.

I remember that when it was launched but apart from sky+ it didnt seem to catch on.

I have a TiVo and they will record from most things. They are actually superior to Sky+ in many ways, but only available 2nd hand these days.

Just look for a Hard Disc Recorder, you can get them almost anywhere - some have freeview built in.
