thinking of upgrading my 3ghz PC for a new AMD X2 spec is

BFG Geforce 7950 1GB PCI-E

asus a8n32-sli

corsair 2gb XMS 3200

160GB HD Maxtor

650w Q-tec PSU

what do you think?

 

at the moment i have never delt with 64 bit processors i have heard i need a new version of windows is this right.

Why not go for an AMD 64 bit duel core as they seem to be both cheaper and faster then intel at the moment.

i dont think so, INTEL are faster than the dual core AMD's at the mo

Intel what exactly? Post some bench tests so we can see and compare with prices etc

i have looked up for reviews about both intel and amd it was a x2 4800 vs Intel Pentium XE 840 and overall the x2 thrashed the intel chip by some way if i can find the artical i will post it up
