I'm in a 6-piece covers band (soul/motown/funk/party stuff for functions).

 

Used to do dabble with my own dancy stuff, but just as I was making an effort to write things I got involved with the band and that's kind of been the focus from then on. Plus the car, plus the MTB, plus the girlfriend. All in reverse order of importance, in case she ever reads this!

i used to be in a few bands. all metal and hardcore.

just getting into recording and such, now. ive just ordered the new mac pro with some toys. cant wait.

my mate is in a jazz band called Afro Elements (was called TruMethod for a while) - he's the drummer and boy does he know how to play!

a lot of people have also said morrisey crossed between someone else!

the singer in the band is also the drummer so he's not quite there with the singing yet, but it gives it a bit of a different sound!

you're the singer of your band i take it? i like the melody of 'i'll never know'. quite emotional!

 

yeah I'm the singer, the band isnt fully formed yet though so at the moment I'm pretty much everything. The song called 'andromeda' I wrote and recorded just 2 days ago, there's a blog about it and my liking of orchestral sounds.

As for myspace, go on any artist page (e.g. mine) click on 'artist sign up' and it'll guide you through it, ask you to add pictures etc. and then songs. it's really intuitive.

I had a couple of recording in my late teens early 20's. I still play and sing regulary mainly at private function nowadays. Don't really have the time anymore. But the guitar comes out at least once a week still, we do a few jamming sessions as and when we can be bothered LOL

 

Do you find that you are organise into having ti sing at all family functions.

 

I'm told as soon as I walk through the door that I'll be doing a couple of numbers. My wifes family are From Ireland and its even worse there. They often have a band at the doo's over there and even if it's a traditional Irish band one of my inlaws will get up and anounce that Mark our cousin from England is going to sing a few songs. Doesn't matter even if you just really don't feel like it.

Been in a couple of bands since school. Never really liked anything I write so don't bother anymore.

My nextdoor neighbour has a studio built on the side of his house. Lot's of local bands jam there.

I'd love to get back into gigging, but just can't find any like minded musicians around here.

I can imagine the situation. I hate impromptu stuff cus I can barely remember any words. There is absolutely no song that I can actually sing and play all the way through from meory.

Wow, I've always wanted to make my own guitar. Very impressed.
