has anyone got a new MOT certificate?

they are A4 size now and state if you have been advised to change anything, which is detailed on another A4 sheet.

 

don't know when this change happened or why!

can only see it being a good thing tbh, go some way to deterring dishonest private sellers.

It is part of the electronic revolution, new MOT's can be checked on DVLA database, just like insurance. It also now allows car tax purchase online.

computerisation - phased in over the last year or so

Go onto th vosa website, http://www.motinfo.gov.uk there you can type in the mot test number and will show anything on the history.

i think all MOT stations had to be using the new system by 31 january this year. i could be wrong tho. so the police can now tell if your car is btaxed, insured and MOTed

Came in this year ive got one on mine.

I think there good as it all ties in with online taxing and sorn etc.

A bit big brother but progress is progress !

Yup - got them on all my cars now.

 

Got to be better at combatting fake MOTs etc.
