Tune because I just love that V6 sound although bigger turbo's would be nice. Then buy another and in goes the V8 both would be good LOL

Either is going to cost lots, just depends what you want.

Big numbers / lag go big turbo route. Response / control / drivability stick an NA V8 in there.

Turbo route is obviously easier as all the parts are off the shelf and basically straight fit. The v8 job is more difficult depending on which engine you go for.

Transplant. If you tune it you just end up with what loads of other people have already got.

And if you think a tuned V6 sounds good wait till you hear a supercharged V8 at full chat.

Blown V8s.............there is nothing like them in the world.

But I think if you want a V8 have it in a V8 car, Zeds are too sleek for muscle.

If 500 ft-ibs from a turbo v6 isn't muscle then what is!!

Point taken and you are right, but my point was that the Zed is a slender, sleak, smooth machine that whiffs speed and prowess like a cheatah lets say.

But a muscle car is big brutish, thunderous animal that smacks of aggression like a Rhino.

Did that make sense?

Not all V8's are big lumpy chuggers. Dont forget that a lot of Ferrari engines are V8's.

Im transplanting a V8 (same as John and Friday), but the VH45de is stil a Nissan engine, and its a smooth revvy V8.

No doubt most will agree with standard tuning, myself included in most instances......Im only doing what I think is right for me.

Hey no don't get me wrong I love V8s over all engines, I guess I just see the American ones and get blinkered.

You just can't beat the sound of them, and if they are the big rat engine size you can just feel them.

Is that the really nicely developed NA one built by the ex-porsche engine designer? Looks fantastic if it is.

Can believe it. Nice to see AMG moving towards proper drivers cars instead of blingy dragsters with forced induction.

LOL! thought you would like that!! :D

tho TBH, the 65 biturbo V12 is just such a responsive lump for a turbo engine its unbelievable!! (tho i do believe it cos iv driven one! :D )

Tune it mate, do bits at a time and watch the car grow.

Also spreads the cost

You can't do it a bit at a time really.

It's engine out bin the internals for none Nissan forged bits and titanium rods and AMZ valve guides and Torga bearings. None Nissan Pully and Fly wheels.

None Nissan Clutch, prop, coolers, rad, Oil feeds, remote filter housing etc.

I can tell you now my car has none of its original Charactor. Its hatsh and ridgid. Very pointy on the steering. Its loud has buckets full more torque and lumpy as fook below 2500 rpm and if you hit the go peddle in second it'll squirm all over the place even on a hot sunny day with Bridgestone S03's on at 40mph.

Johns V8 will proberbly have more Nissan under the bonnet than Mac or Kirbz and certainly mine.

in future I'll just buy a really quick car and when it gets boring I'll sell and get a quicker one. Its much cheeper and far less of a headache
