Exhaust mounted turbo charger where the muffler goes

lol, not for me you tit  Just as a concept, would it work or is it in the same vain as those plug in battery turbos from ebay :D lol

I reckon you would need a huge turbo to keep the boost up to a decent level, and if you had a huge turbo mounted back there I don't reckon the gases would flow fast enough to spin it up.

But I could be wrong.

Cant see it spinning up too well, gas flow aint going to be fast enough, and there would be monumental lag on it.

They claim 5psi and upto 20 psi with additional tuning? would be good to see this actual claim to be proven?

They claim this though: STS won the prestigious GM Design Award for Best High Performance Product. http://www.ststurbo.com/sema_2004

So hopefully they can prove this is possible?

Maybe by using small diameter piping to the turbo unit to keep exhaust flow high.

You know what happens if the Exhaust pipe diameter is too large? Exhaust gases slow down and cool faster!

From what i read, you simply remove the standard back box. there's a little animation on what happens if you play the flash box thingy and they're some videos too. The one i found it through was a corvette c6 with one fitted
