Lots of threads and posts at the moment about how much money has been spent on your zeds.. Just want to show you - you are not alone. Many people have spent tons of money on their pride and joy. It is a passion - and all passions cost money. Just think - when your car is finished - how many cars will perform as well - look as good - be as practical or as comfortable as your zed?

None - and if there are some cars out there that can match up - you would have to spend £100k more to buy it!

So relax - put your mouth where your money is and be proud to show everyone what a good investment your zed was and how much you have put into her.

chewie mate, I think she's p*ssed at you for looking at the wrong ass....although if you have to drive a Volvo behind your missus to see her ass..... :nelson:

guess i asked for that huh?! :mac1:

25k+ not including buying the zed, hope there's a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow LOL!!

bodywork looks awsome and a full stripdown and restoration with a fully rebuilt engine

but theres always something to spend on

untill i decided to call it a day id spent over £10k plus the car (£6300). would have been another £10 to get it on the road in the way i wanted it.

Different way of spending money though Tim, invest it like I have done with property or enjoy it like I have done with the Z if I was offered every penny back I have spent on it in exchange for the car I could honestly say I would not part with it.

only upto £1500 on this one, and that includes buying the car!! but have prety much worked it out and it will stand me at about £18000.00 when finished....when finished not worried how long it takes, iknow it'll get to where i want it to be, i'll spend on it when i can, and when it need's it. Fiest one stood me at about £4500.00 and sold it for £3800.00 so not too much of a loss. People say it's a hobby, i tend to disagree i think this car is more of a passion than a hobby

Neil

I knew nowt about Zeds back in 2000 but through advice on here I've done all the work myself so £1,500 for the car with no engine! Fitted previous engine after write-off, wheels £400, manual box with conv kit £750, stuff from Smithy £850, HKS SKB+IND £300, leather £400, recent paint to sort out imperfections £100 so £4.3K for a clean car which trounces M3s. Can't go wrong with Z power ;)
