Lots of threads and posts at the moment about how much money has been spent on your zeds.. Just want to show you - you are not alone. Many people have spent tons of money on their pride and joy. It is a passion - and all passions cost money. Just think - when your car is finished - how many cars will perform as well - look as good - be as practical or as comfortable as your zed?

 

None - and if there are some cars out there that can match up - you would have to spend £100k more to buy it!

 

So relax - put your mouth where your money is and be proud to show everyone what a good investment your zed was and how much you have put into her.

and still counting cost of whats to come, every time i do something new the car looks in no better state and cries out for something else!!!

But don't you see Si.. what car would be as good for that money? I can't think of anything. Plus the fact he did it to his own design...... and it would be a pretty unique car when he's finished..

I'm in the 30-35k region, and will probably break into the 35-40k very soon! This includes originally buying a LWB, then getting a slicktop.

Mmmm let me think, DB7, 911 Carrera S4, Ferrari 355 would be my choice.... My comment was only made in Jest anyway. ;)

I have to agree with funky, anyo9ne who spends 40k+ on a zed needs help.

 

Makes me laugh really, we slate chavs here for spending money on crap for a nova but happily spend 40k on a 14 year old car worth 4k

Id say 25-30k on my TT Slicktop and thats when its finished, it stands me at about 21k at the mo and thats including buying it and a full colour change respray.

 

My NA stands me at about 3k and its the most fun car ive ever driven! :D

Still too new to get the amount of crap box TT Zeds there are about.

The car owes me about £10,500 buying it, repairing it and modding it in a year and a half. After going through reciepts the previous owners had spent about 10K on it also!

bought the car for 4.5k, found out that it was a shitter :( and 15k and 2 years later, now is not a shitter!! ;)

Alarm - £300

Stereo - £250

Clear side indicators - £20 ish

18 inch wheels - £450

 

Plus buying, it plus servicing.
