These are going quite cheap some around 500 pounds what you all think of these I think I may go for the 2.5 diesel version. Nice interior and smooth cars.

my mate had one of these, the estate version. reckons it was the best £700 he'd spent on a car. mind you he was lucky and got a nice clean example from an old chap who lived nearby.

Can be nice cars while they hold together, always liked them.

Superb cars, try to get the BMW diesel if you can.

Check front tyres as they can eat them very quick and cost a lot to put right.

I've had two and loved them both.

Loved my old Omega, as long as it's clean and the engine's ok, they are lovely - I'd have another tomorrow if I found the right one!

Scrawni is right, the 525 tdi engine goes in the omega 2.5 diesal. Brilliant torquey engines.

150bhp are they?

Not sure of the bhp of that one, but my MV6 had about 207bhp. It was lowered with tinted windows and went like stink.

If you go for the 2.5 or 3.0 V6 then watch out for the rocker cover gaskets leaking. The breathers block and pressurise the covers, which are plastic by the way and if not bolted down in the right way will warp and leak anyway, the breather is right at the back of the engine and a beeacht to get to.

If you look on the cavweb forum they will tell you all you need to know.

I always fancied the MV6, how was it on the petrol fella?

I could get up to about 36-42 mpg on the moterway if I watched what I was up to, but and I mean but, I was down to 16 mpg last winter driving around town average.
