hi all just done the ecu check and am getting code 34. has anynoe done the det sensor bypass and if so were did you get yor resistor,tryed maplins but thay only do a 1k not 1000k which i need.

dont do it its risky, get it repaired properly could cost you a lot more in the end if you dont det sensor there for a reason!!

got mine from maplins.28p.so they do sell them.the bands are yellow,a solid black then a thin black line.

Mine was faulty. I had it relocated to the back of the engine. About £50-£60 labour + parts. New detonator sensor is about £170 + about £40 for the harness. You might be able to pick up a second hand one but I wouldnt recommend it.

 

I had mine done by MJP Autos. They did a brilliant job! HTH

I bypassed mine on Saturday, 9p resistor from Maplin (although I had to buy a minimum of 10), went from 6psi to just under 10psi :dance: :dance: If you've got the spare money then it's always worth getting the job done properly but for a quick fix you can't go wrong.

 

If you can't get hold of any resistors give me your address and I'll send you a couple.
