August 6, 200619 yr Hi all :) ive just bought a 300zx fairlady twin tubby and theres a switch next to the auto gear stick that says power and hold.please can anyone explane what this button does? also the clocks are in KMH not MPH where can i get them chainged? kind regards cainy :duffer:
August 6, 200619 yr hold is for winter i think, keep the revs down and power is what it says, but when you stomp down the power light comes on anyway, do a search for "auto box" or something, youll find loads. i flick the o/d button out and click power down to keep the car ready when i want the tubos to spool nice and quick.
August 6, 200619 yr found this for thee. 1. Overdive is basically 4th gear with it off you only have 3 gears 2. Hold means car pulls away in 2nd and changes gear very early (for bad weather) also it will hold car in a manually selected gear 3.Power basically changes gear later for more speed 4. The button with the red mark on allows you to select gear with ingnition off. 5. You can only start car in N or P, made this mistake a few times when i got the car and wondered why i could not start it
