Just rubbed down the original spoiler on the ol silver lady,,ready for a repaint. I've got the primer,, silver base & clear coat to do it in,, but Im now wondering what it would look like done in matt or satin black.

What do you guys reckon??

Featured Replies

I reckon it'd look unfinished.

To properly pull it off I think it would need other parts to be colour coded in the same way eg, wheels, bonnet, mirrors etc

Yeh maybe your right, I only want to paint it once, so silver it stays ,, guess I just wanted someone to blame if it looked crap in matt black.

it would look like a 15 year old shed that somebody has replaced the spoiler on but couldn't be bothered to spray the right colour.

Thats just my opinion anyway.

hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if it's a 90-96 spoiler (not sure iff 99s were foam also?!?) it will just crack again - gauranteed! I removed mine the other weekend, and you wouldn't believe how much water was in it!!

i agree if it is the rubber spoiler i woldnt put it back on, i know luke does a fibre glass one
