Hello there good people...

Got back form JAE at about 4pm today after a great first experience of the event. First of all I have to say that it was great to meet Chunk on the Sat night (hammered tho I was) and Craig David from the internet (again, you may have been as gone as me but I'm not sure, I remember we had a great big long conversation about loads of random things though) before I went back to my tent and drank with some random girl until girl until 4am :duffer: .... (no other details of that available)... up at 8am with the twatty heat burning through my tent like a fireball. :(

Then I met Bee Gee Vinz today, and saw the Blingest Bling that ever Blinged on a Blingy thing. Bling. Haven't watched the DVD yet Vinz, but looking forward to it... And saw many more awesome Zeds!

So that's the drunken thanks (went straight out to a charity do when I got back, and ploughed money into the bar to save some lives) and now... were there any casualties from JAE 2006....?

To start the ball rolling, on my way down I was in a rush, and was doing 90-100mph, and then thought I saw a cheeky bugger in a Mondeo trying to race me.... needless to say, I blew him away! unfortunately, it turned out that he he was an unmarked police car, and pulled me over to give me a £60 fine and 3 points - thanks. Lucky in a way, as he clocked me at 107mph after that, but I was only trying to overtake some cars so I could get out of his way!!!

That's my casualty, but I know that Tony2000 who lives right near me blew his gearbox on the way down, he now has 2nd and 3rd only - and no reverse. I hope you got back OK Tony!!!!

Any more casualties or stories from the big event?

I thought it was awesome, and I can't wait for next year now!

Lots of love,

Christian, AKA Flardboy, yes, that's Flardboy. I can explain it if you like, but it's a slightly odd story.

I was a bit late leaving so had a 120 mph rush down there but hopefully got away with it as I think I know where all the cameras are   and took a leisurely drive back home, air con on all the way there and back and the car didnt miss a beat once. Would like to know who owns the White Zed that tried a bit of drifting on the roundabout outside JAE, hope you got home ok as you seemed to be in very high spirits as you drove away and there was a few police on my route out of Peterboro.

I think i found out my car isn't limited by the fact i went past the end of the speedo twice on the way back whoops

:nono: not speeding are we bud ,,,,that's a no no .....  ...

That would have been my car!!! We got home fine thanks and luckily saw no police the whole way back. Only downside was that nose panel decided to fly away on M5 while chasing an M3!!! Never did like that one anyway - at least I can have my original one on now lol :x:

First part on the way back was a great drive. Got to Bedford thought about poping in on Vinnie but realized I didn't know his address (Filled up at Cardington Road Tesco's Mate). Collected the dog then things got a little hairy. HE HE

On the M25 begun to rain a little the Targas were off, speed up a bit more and stayed dry and it didn't last long and was only very light.

M3 Some woman in a hugh bue people carried nearly side swiped me. We'd only just moved over to the inside lane for our exit too. I had to resort to using the hard shoulder in order to escape. Poor hubbie was screaming at the woman from his car. Still she missed me by a hair 's breath. I know I said I intended to keep my car in 'Stealth Mode' I didn't mean it to be invisible LOL

Glad to see you got back !

as you probably already no im now Juan Carloss Fandango

Made it about 2 miles out of the showground before the box gave up

Anyone want to make me an offer on my car as im P***ed off with it now !

We saw a smashed up zed on the side of ring road when we left - anyone from on here? Nobody with it though!!

I never made it, because on Friday my daughter informed me that she'd been entered into the Wrexham & Chester heat of a National Modeling competition. Of course I had to go and support her + make sure all was hunky doori as she's only 14.

Even though I really was looking forward to hooking up with a few of you guys it wasn't a total loss. She came second. Has won a Modeling contract for 12 months with a National agency and goes forward to the national finals in London.

Well proud and Mrszx is well chuffed as she used to do cataloge work, but never tall enough to do catwalk.

My daughter is the one on the left and her friend who came third.

Aw cack.

Sorry to hear that mate, it's the weak link on these cars tho isn't it. Don't sell it though Tony! I've heard that fitting an auto box on a 300ZX TT is one of the most entertaining and full-filled tasks on the planet - I reckon you'd love it.

Then you'll be in the mood to get the Strosek wide arse kit, safe in the knowledge that your gearbox will be OK for at least another 600 miles

After my journey down and meeting PC Banbury (or whatever his name was) I drove back at 75 the whole way, but I really noticed the improvement on mpg! I must have been touching 18 to the gallon I reckon!

Wish I'd made more of an effort to meet more people on the Saturday night now, but hey, I'm sure there will be another chance sometime soon...

No casualties here either. Eliza ran beautifully all the way there and back, even managing 12 cars and 2 vans in one go at 122mph on the A47 :D Karen wasn't too impressed, I was though ;) especially considering the lack of road left at the end!

You need to get her down to a good photographer who'll do her a port folio.

Off corse you stay and marshal. Then you need to speek to a good agency. Like Model team and get her enrolled. They'll teach her deportment and such like and from there on in its just insist on knowing what is being offered and insist either you or your wife are present at the shoots. You can get some good free nights, but maily your wife will. Cos most of the time you feel more like hanging yourself.

Mostly I keep Dave from dp away from the house

To be honest the only boyfriend she's brought back was a realy nice lad and I know what we were up to at that age. So just be frank and trust you've instilled enough good sence and judgement into them.
