Air Con

Went to see a specialist today (alpinair.co.uk) and they were ready to refill the system (which used R12 gas) with R134 gas for £84

And I (twice) made sure they were aware of that fact which gas it used,

but they claimed that would not have been an issue.

SO anyway it turns out there was a fukin blockage and/or a leak in the system so I cant say it went without problems but if that was the case then that's a bit cheap compared to the prices I've seen in previous related threads.

Good deal, I would have thought.

So how much would they have charged you for diagnosing/fixing the problem.

Mine seems to have finally lost all its refrigerant and it's not much fun in this weather when it will only blow hot air! :( That place looks like a decent option.

He said I would have to get it booked in so they could check where the problem is and then they would tell me how much it would cost to be repaired before they start working on it.

But they charged me £20 for putting the gas in and figuring out there was a problem

TBH it looked like a new and tidy place and the guy seemed to know his way around a zx
