My Gamin Vista will plug into a laptop serial port and give a full screen moving map display, it's really good.

Ask Hellraiser he uses his laptop I believe. I have a GPS receiver connected to the Carputer but I have MapMonkey.

Cheers Gaz :) I have AutoRoute 2005 and a decent Pentuium 4 laptop.

I can get a GPS receiver for about £40 so I think I'll get one and give it a go.

Autoroute 2006 is good with GPS, has an american female voice for turn by turn directions and a very handy blue bar that tells you how close you are to the next turn.

General problem though with LCD displays in the summer is that u cant see a frickin thing in bright daylight on the monitor.
