hello everybody, and thanks for looking at my query.

i've purchased a blitz sus air induction kit, and the install is straight forward enough but what is the best policy with the other two air box pipes that i assume were part of a recirc system, should these be blanked with a gauze, removed alltogether, or what? also, some people suggest resetting the ecu when fitting any performance mod, and others say let the ecu selflearn to the the mod through normal driving once the mod is fitted, which is the definitive answer (if there is one!) do i leave the battery on or disconnect for a couple of hours? thanks again, shrew

spare pipes can be removed m8

don't do anything

and yes best way to reset/learn ecu is to disconnect battery for an hour or so:)

thanks guys, two different opinions, just what i didn't want! :-)

ok assuming i go with the garage advice, sorry billy, no offence intended, if they do still take in air, should i very simply gauze the ends to prevent any dirt intrusion, and i'm talking tights here! and what is your opinion on the ecu/learn process? thanks already, shrew

just leave them as they are obvioulsy the stock box took in air from them, air will still flow to the induction filter which is what you want
