I sent the cheque the same day as a cheque for a head gasket set which arrived 2 days later so he is being a w4nker. I just sent him a nasty message telling him to send my cheque back as he obviously wont be needing it anymore. Just got to hope ebay takes my side now and reinstates my account! Worse thing about it all was we were bidding on two new zeds and now ebay have cancelled my bids!! :headvswal

i think its turned crap hence my latest venture is going to knock ebay on it's arse hopefully..... ;)

Write to Ebay mate via ebay's website. There is an 'appeal' section.

 

What will happen is that they will then email you back with instructions of how to appeal. They will ask you for proof that you sent them a cheque. So I would send them a photocopy of the stub in your cheque book :D

 

Also, Ebay require you to send them proof that you are who you say you are, so they will require a photocopy of your passport or driving licence, a photocopy of your bank statement to prove that your account details is the same as the one you have registered with them. They will explain all this. I know its a pain!

 

Their appeals address is in Ireland as well and so will take a few days to sort out. But they are very quick!

If dispute is not resolved, your account will be suspended indefinately.

 

Ebay does explain all about their suspensions on their website, however it took me a while to find the information. HTH

I got suspended a few years ago. They said that my details were similar to an account that had been suspended. I explained to them that the suspended account was not mine and had been registered after my account. Each time I emailed them I got a response from the ebay team that was not automated, but was a standard email that they obviously used for such an infingement.

 

After several weeks and numerous sent emails, I decided to flood them with emails. I sent them about 500 emails each day for a week. They reinstated my account in the end.

 

I have also read of a Paypal user who had several thousand pounds paid into his account. Paypal suspended his account because they thought it was part on an illegal transaction. I think it took this guy a couple of years to get his money back.

Yeh mine got suspended a few years ago after i bought 3 x £1.50 bits of carbon look tape but my cheque got lost and he reported me and because it was 3 i got instantly banned??

yeh after a few months i thought sod it why should i lose my account i have built up decent feedback for a few years!! so i emailed them and after a few days got an email back saying it had been activated again :)
