Went to zedworld today to get the car checked and a correct comp test, well hit 170 on cylinders, which is good.Trouble is after spending £1200 on turbos £500 for the work to be done £340 on misc bits to be fitted £540 on the unit ,turns out the drivers side turbo is whats causing all the smoke.Spoke to the guy who built them and he said send it back and il sort it,well trouble is i cant spend more cash to get this sorted so i really dont no what to do,maybe sell as it is or break just dont no now.

have been on the phone to him ,he has agreed to have the car in 2 weeks and remove the turbo and sort the problem ,he said if the turbo is at fault it will be free if the turbo isnt at fault and its because of the way its fitted, i have to pay, however i cannot see how this would be the case.this is quite reasonable i think of him.

think i'd want an independent 3rd party to make the call about who's fault it is... I know that if I'd supplied the turbo it'd be the fitter's fault!!

all he has to say is that the oil or water lines for the turbo were not connected properly, or they were trapped and kinked.....and he does'nt have to pay a penny

Trouble these days is you can almost get another decent 300 for the price of having new tubs fitted and the bits that go with them. Its a mad mad world the world of zed ownership. you just gotta be enthusiastic and well off.

how new are the turbos? Who rebuilt em? Wasn't Turbofor*e by any chance was it. Because It would appear to me that everyone I know who's had their tubs uprate there have had oil seal failure within a few hundred miles. Guess what? it's always down to contamination whilst being fitted according to them.
