England were not hard done by. They were not good enough. The Brazil France game was great to watch - fast flowing football. England cant do that. I feel for the England players, watching rio sob was sad. But we aint the best cos we cant beat the best.

and as far as i could see the ref was NOT going to book or send off rooney for the stamp he only took action for the "shove"

You can see on the slow motion replay that the ref was waving people away after the stamp as he seemed to see it as accidental. But as soon as rooney shoved the dickhead the refs whole manner changed and he sent rooney off.

 

Remember that when beckham got sent off against the argies he gave ariel ortega the smallest of taps and he went down in apparent thierry henry-esque agony. It's not the force its the meaning behind it.

 

Maybe the stamp would have got a yellow as well as the shove put both together and you've got red.

If Rooney cant control his temper he should have done a propper job and given Ronaldo and sledge hammer. Rooney looks like he could pack a heavy punch. Ronaldo needed to be knocked out IMO.

He had every right to push Ronaldo IMO. It wasnt anything to do with him. He should have been booked himself and did anyone else notice how Ronaldo winked and lipped "Shoosh" it was a deliberate tactic used to get Rooney's back up and yes Rooney should be more professional but he aint is he? As I said before the stamp on the nuts was out of order the push wasn't.

 

I should imagine the atmosphere at Old Trafford is going to be better than a christmas episode of Eastenders.
