Im not on Classic insurance but my friend is. He has a GTR32, however his policy states he cant do no body mods at all. Not even change the wheels.

However, he can do whatever he wants under the bonnet.

He is 28 now, but even when he first got the GTR32 4 years ago, his premium was £250 on classic insurance.

Mine is Classic and pretty much anything goes, except your annual mileage is heavily restricted. They usually expect it to be your 2nd car too.

right that sounds like me

It is second car and mileage will be low

who are you with ?

same as that.needs to be second car, limited mileage but mods ok.

i'm with adrian flux

I’m with Houghton’s, and so far so good.

The big issue with many classic policies is the need for a garage which I haven’t got, otherwise my £317 premium could have been about £200, plenty of space, so might built a timber one! They usually limit mileage (you would pay more for 10K a year than for 5K a year etc), they usually expect it to be a 2nd car for the driver, ie not your main car, and some only insure over 25s etc

I declared the mods that were already on the car, and about 3 weeks ago updated them with the new mods without any issue. The only external mods are wheels, the rest are under bonnet, suspension etc.

Hi, I am with privilage and they used to be great with mods (liek free cover on 250 of mods) now they would add £200 just for wheels and demand a tracter for thief

Can anyone advise me an insurance company where i dont need a tracker and are easy with mods?

I do do 12K of miles a year
