Hi peeps, my alloys are needing a refurb, who in central scotland does a good job - without asking me for a small fortune??

I have been let down by someone else who was going to spray them for me, so now they are half stripped and look like sh** :headvswal :headvswal

Thanks in advance

Cheers mate, have you seen any of their work?

I've not seen any of their work but have heard they do a good job, they might have some around they have just done, let me know how you get on with them, have you got standard wheels to use in the meantime? i'm about to put my new wheels on and have some 16's if need be.

Cheers for the offer of wheels, but i'm sorting a few other things just now, so I'll keep it off the road a bit longer.

I'll give them a buzz tomorrow.

i got a powercoaters in aberdeen to do mine, £40 a wheel

Ta Fraser, the Wheel Centre (Scotland) seem to be a good bet, they are going to do them for 43 each, inc removing & remounting the tyres, new valves and balancing.

I'll let everyone know how I get on.......

Will do mate, I'm dropping them off on Friday,

Keep us posted on this one Big M.

Need a set sorting myself.

Alan........

Ahhh now I know who was getting his wheels refurbed in falkirk, I was in the car accessory shop in larbert last week getting a couple of brake pipes made up, the guy asked me what type of car it was for and then asked if i had my wheels away for refurb as a local body repair guy had come in looking for paint to do the wheels on one.

Thought it was a bit strange as they are usually powdercoated by the professionals, painting alloys is the type of cheapskate touch up that i thought was only done by me :o

Aye, it was my neighbour who was going to do them for me, but they have been powdercoated before and he was struggling to get them stripped.

Where abouts do you live mate??

Bainsford, ( I usually tell everybody North Falkirk :) )

PM me your number mate and we can catch up some time, I'm in Larbert, The Inches.

I've no idea whether they're still trading, but here's who I used back in 2002 :-

Premier Wheels Ltd New Warehouse Crawford Pl Milnathort Kinross KY13 9XF George Shields - Premier Wheels - 01577 864100 - 0831303727

Excelent job - around £30 a wheel but probably more now.

PS - they did my plenum as well for £30.

Colin

Cheers Mate, but today I have dropped them into the wheel centre in Cambuslang, so I'll keep you all informed....

Just got my wheels back, they made a great job!!

Tyres off, wheels blasted, powdercoated, lacqered, oven dried, new valves, wheels on & balanced...

£43 + vat a wheel, so £202,

They look like new, well chuffed....

Thanks for everyone's input, M

wheel look good, now you have to give the car a good run to clean up the rusty discs :)

Looks like a job well done there big M. You would recommend them then ?

Cheers for posting back ! :)

Yeah mate I would, they did a really good job, and offer loan wheels if you want, they take off the tyres, and remount them & balance.

I know that £200 quid could have gone to new rims but i actually like the standard - clean look.....
