Will these so called 'computer languages' tell me the nearest place I can get my cock sucked for a tenner?

No? Then I'm not interested then!

I have worked with some very good hardcore programmers, very talented people. Perl was all the rage back in the early 90's because there wasn't really anything else available for the web. PHP changed everything.

It is easy to learn the basics, even I can write basic PHP and I am a designer (I just do colouring in) :-)

Once you have learned the basic syntax which is easy, the hard part is to put what you have learned into real world applications, that is why people give up with it.

There are loads of books around to help, and they give real world application examples so you can build up your knowledge better.

Done some real basic stuff:-

Is it worth learning dreamweaver mx or is there much easier better stuff available?

I am sure someone could write you something bud. :)

Perhaps something that could work with one of those Tom Tom things?

Could be a winner!

The easiest and most popular web design language is Hypertext Markup Language, better known as HTML. This language is so simple you can type the syntax into a text editor, such as Notepad, save it with an .html extension and instantly have a web page

Although HTML will enable you to create simple web sites, if you want something more dynamic, you'll need to look into using other languages:

Like Perl or Php

Perl is the most popular web programming language due to its text manipulation capabilities and rapid development cycle

Perl's CGI.pm module, part of Perl's standard distribution, makes handling HTML forms simple

Perl can handle encrypted Web data, including e-commerce transactions

Perl can be embedded into web servers to speed up processing by as much as 2000%

mod_perl allows the Apache web server to embed a Perl interpreter.

Perl's DBI package makes web-database integration easy

sorry but that's just wrong mate! :)

lol, i haven't a clue. All i remember is my mate bitterly moaning about using the sodding thing

If you give me a database of WPS (Whore Positioning System) locations i'll do you a page tracing them using google maps matey

Actually i was just chatting....thats what other people tell me about the language....but i do like to learn both Perl and Php...i was moaning because im crap at it

You can do pretty much anything in PHP its a good language to learn, obviously sql and c sharp are the highest paid web designing jobs

Or just something dynamic full stop! HTML is horrible :)

Will you be my friend........ i need a web design buddy... :duffer:

lol, you can never have enough friends

Course I can matey :D lol
