Bro was driving back in the min, there was a clunk 4 miles from home and it suddenly lost power and there was no compression in the 3rd cylinder.

 

Got it back to find the air filter and a bolt missing.... whoops

 

The weld holding the nut on inside the filter had broken and the nut had worked its way loose dropping straight into the inlet valve.

 

Luckily it hadn't done any damage to anything but had jammed the valve open.

 

Stripped the head down, did the seals while we were at it, put it back together and it started first time on the key.

 

Brill, garage quoted 300 quid, cost 20 including the gasket set and valve seals :D :hyper: :hyper:

lol, having found out where the tubs are on a zed (after a bit of hunting) i thinking dropping the engine out of a zed is a little out of my league....

 

although if you want me to have a go i'll come over with my halfords screwdriver set and see how far i get? ;) :rofl:
