I don't know but i hope skyline dave got some footage for the club dvd for me, i hope he got the message before he left..... :(

Wish I could have made it but I had too much catching up to do - and I'm having the wound on my back repacked daily at the hospital :hurl:

So how did it go then lads?

Who got what times?

How did the Bishi boys do?

What was the JTuner bloke like?

Did anyone crash trying to drive cleverly for photos?

Are the photoshop wizards going to get plenty of head shots of you all when the mag comes out?

When will the mag come out?

:D :hyper:  :smw: :x: :D

guess they are not back yet

or maybe they are too ashamed (did the gto boys kick there arses ///)

Hello you guys! The day went great. There were some good times. My launch times were pretty rubbish (in the 6 secs, I was bogging down) as I've never tried from standstill before but I got the highest top speed ( 159ish mph). Some of the other TT guys (sorry not sure who) got in the 5 secs so thats good. Slick pete got some great times in his NA, faster than most of the TTs! We had no casualties so that was good. The Mitsi lads had a blown engine (bottom end prob) and a snapped drive splitter (if thats the name). They got better times than us though, as they had some 500/600bhp cars there I think. Its a shame we never had any experienced TT drag guys I suppose.

The guys from Jtuner were top blokes and put on a BBQ and took loads of phots. I can't wait to see the article, it should be a goodun.

We had a bit of drift/thrash (!) practice at the end which I got a little enthusiastic about as I was enjoying myself so much. Actually managed to get some control on it by the end! It took about 50miles of motorway for my clutch to cool down and my tyres to lose the squishy feeling from all the hot bubbles!

Dave

Eeek - our lads got "done" by the GTOs!

Or so they say....

Edit - if they had mega tuned cars not a surprise I guess. Plus at least one fo theirs blew up.

had a good laugh today, looks like all the 300's survived and a nice bit of banter with the GTO's, even though were getting some awesome launches :)

Think my best 0-60 was 5.5, 13.9 quarter and 158mph Terminal Speed.

Funiest bit was parking up after my last lap to find my rear brakes on fire

haha, wish I'd seen that! Did alicia take a picture? she's not in yet. I'll post the pictures in a min. Can anyone host the videos?

i think cadpaul managed a 5.9 to 60 and 14 sec to 100

wish i could have had mine there

maybe next time, if there ever will be

The whole day was just relaxed fun. Our J tuner hosts were top blokes and Brynn spent some time with each of us on a one to one interview. The photographer took individual mug shots and car shots as well as a big group shot with cars n owners. We also took part in some moving shots and witnessed how he makes those "apparently " high speed shots with cars only a couple of feet apart.

My times were what I would expect from recent Santa Pod runs.

Did a 0 -60 in 6.04 sec, best quarter of 14.8something and a top speed of 134/5 mph.

I "might" have made 140 on my final run as I left it in 4th to 7300revs BUT I MISSED 5TH and PARTIALLY engaged 3rd.!!!! LOL!!! :nelson:

A huge amount of time and effort by all the drivers and the J Tuner people.

Im confident the article will be one to savour.

As always it was good to meet up with some of the Midlands regulars and especially good to put some names to some new faces. ;)

Hope to see you all at Jap Show and JAE.

Bring It On!

Sounds like well done all round guys :hyper:

Just wish I could have been there, oh well next time uncle :D

I got a fair bit of footage, I'll get it all to my hard disk then ask someone to host it

If you could stick up the stock footage without editing i'd really appreciate it bud, running out of time and no-one is helping me out with any vids.

Hard to make a vid that represents the whole club when the whole dvd is going to be made up of just the northern meet and the footage i now have to shoot of the midland boys cars to fill in the space.

Turning into an impossible task :(

me and dave could get a bit of footage for you from down here bud if you like.

Anything would be great matey, the more the better and the higher the res the better

Firstly, HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE thanks to Bryn and the Jtuner team, most excellent day and very well organised

Big thanks to our cameraman aswell (who's name slipped my mind :o, but he remembered all ours, hats off just for that), you were fantasic fella, placing everything on my car carefully so you didnt scratch or damage your camera etc, oh and my car  Top job

Also a big thanks to the guys that did all the timing gear, excellent work, but you didnt make me look very fast :D Hope to see you again soon

And lastly, Very nice to meet the guys from the GTOUK club, your cars were very well presented and the 0-60 times impressed me, the doughnuts didnt thou ;)

My times were expected to be the slowest and i didnt dissapoint, with a........

0-60 of 8.2

0-100 lost count after 20secs

1/4 mile 16.2 @ 87mph

and a V max of 129.1mph

There are no racing/bullshit excuses, my car is just slow :D

Had a good amount of drift/doughnut fun at the end of the day, i think i used 50% of my new falken 451's in 5 mins

I didnt take any other Z times down im afraid, but they were all a dang site faster than me LMAO!!

Thanks again to all for a flappin great day!!
