Just had the tracking done on my Zed!

 

They took it out on the road twice. Was it necessary? If they have electronic re-calibrating systems, surely that will tell them when its inline again?

 

Makes me so mad. If they want to drive a Zed, why not go any buy one for themselves :rant:

Does make you hopping mad. A friend of mine (forum person of old) took hers into a garage to replace I think if memory serves me right the windscreen. The guys took her car out for a long spin and blow the turbo's. Legal action was taken.

Yeah i had the same thing when i pulled up at quick fit to ask for a quote for my brakes to be done (this is before i found out about mickey), one of the technicians (i use that term very loosely) came out and went is that one coming in? What for, guy says brakes. Technician says "Awesome, don't worry mate i won't thrash it till the brakes are done"

The down right cheek and gall of some so called mechanics makes you want to spit and smash their skulls agaist a brick wall over and over again.

If you have to hand the keys over make sure they know that you know the mileage.

I was there in the waiting room, so he couldnt deny taking it out.

 

I think he thought I was born yesterday as he said he was checking if there was any wheel shake. :xxx:

I said you dont get wheel shake from tracking, the only problem it causes is tyre wear, which is how I knew my tracking was out.

 

He then said "Ive seen your car out and about, where do you live?"

 

I had to tell him for receipt purposes, But I didnt tell him where I keep it, which is in a locked garage! As I said, I hate monkey men!

 

Who do you trust nowadays? Im scared of taking my car to anyone!

Mechanic course good idea and get hold of the manual in PDF form.

 

I also have a small list of Zed friendly garages given by guys on the forum if that's any help. But it's not complete I'm still working on it, but you can have what I've got if you want.

My next job is to get new tyres as im currently running snow tyres. They seem to be perfect for drifting as thats all my car wants to do in the rain. lol

 

Then I want to get a boost controller and ECU mapping. Thinking of going with Thor Raciing and get an Apexi Power FC stage 1 tune. That'll be cool.

i took mine in for exhaust work and when i got me car back 1/4 juice was gone and me boost controller was all to cock thed fooked about with it.
