alternator noise/supressor fitting

Has anyone had a problem with interference noise on their radio. was going to fit a supressor to the alternator but then I realised how hard a job it would be. any better ideas how to fix?

    Replace the alternator, it's probably worn ;)

    I'm sure you can get supressors that go on the back of your stereo to do the same thing.

    I agree with Chris C. If the resistor in the alternator has had it chances are the rest of the alternator is on its way out too.

    Don't buy a new one though, get yours reconditioned. Plenty specialists and much cheaper!

    get a ground loop isolator it goes inbetween your stereo and your amp if thats where the problem lies.

    So what is te difference between the ground loop isolator and a supressor?
