Is this permenantly powered in a zed or is it only powered up when the ignition is in position 1 or more?

I'm pretty sure mine only comes on when I get all the dash lights on (is that position 1 or 2?), that's what I've noticed when I've had stuff plugged into it.

deffo possition 2... on mine anyhow.

whilst working on my motor found a gap for a 10amp fuse in the fuse box so i put one in.the cig lighter was powered all the time and the clock and heater screens were always illuminated.looked great at night when the car was parked but after a week the battery started to drain down overnight.so i took it out.

position 2 would suit my needs too, it just means i can leave things connected to it with no risk of draining the battery whilst the ignition is off
