There I was minding my own business driving home from Baker Petrolite 12:10am. Got to Seal Sands roundabout,decided not to take my usual shortcut,heading towards A19 and the sky lit up about a mile to my left and a really loud rumbling roar to go with it. Flames shooting up the side of one of the cooling towers.

 

So I decided to put my foot down and get the **** out of there as I had 20 tonne of Tolad 9137 (highly flammable liquid nos) in my tanker.

 

Anyone else see or hear this?

At first it was thought that it had created devestation over a 30 mile radius. This was until a fire officer explained that was how Teesside looks normally.

 

Locals are now trying to start a disaster fund. £13.47 is needed to rebuild the local area.
