Morning all! Thought I'd try the 'fountain of knowledge' here before trawling the internet!!

I'm going to mount my flatscreen on the wall, and channel power and a scart lead in the wall (only need one scart as I've got a scart switch). Bought a cheapo scart (10m) and there's too much interference on it... and this is direct to tv, so it's not the scart switch causing it.

Strange thing is, it's worse from the sky box than the video or DVD. Anyhow, anyone know where I can get higher-quality, shielded etc etc long (prob get away with 7/8m I guess) from?? or what type of cable I can buy to solder one up?!?

Cheerz!

Monster cables are definatly worth the cash. Not cheap but they do flat cables as well as different lengths. They are all shielded and use various cores etc. worth a look. Think comet sell them although im sure the interweb will have cheaper suppliers.

video??? viiiiiddeeeooo??? no dont know what one of those is

as a rough estimate you should spend 10% on cables as you have on the whole setup ;)

think if the cable at petrol in the zed, you put cheapo crap in it and it wont run well and possibly det its t1ts off, put optimax in it and its fine!! same with cables put a cheapo cable in it and people expect their nice flat screen to magically enhance the picture to perfect

if its standard sky then even with a decent scart its still not going to be the best and over a 10 meter length!! so my advice is to go to a home cinema shop and buy the best shielded cable you can afford :)

Just to give you an example me component cable i have running from my amp to my plasma cost me £100 ;) but you should see the picture
