I'm in the middle of planning a euro trip for the summer of 2007. Hopefully by then, the zed should be how i want it, and what better way to enjoy it than actually driving the bloody thing lol.
Anyhoos, as for now my plan is something along the lines of,
From Kirkcaldy, down to dover and across the ferry into Calais. From there, down towards Paris to spend the first night.
In the morning, i'll head of down to the Millau bridge (yup, i watch top gear :D ) and spend another night there.
Spend a bit more time in that area, then down past Montpellier and through the Grand Canyon du Verdon. Head south then spend the night near St.Tropez.
From there, through Cannes and onto Monaco. More sleep. :p
I'll then carry along the south coast of France towards Genoa, then head North past Milan.
The next day, will take me through Lake Maggiore then into Switzerland to spend the night at Lake Lucerne.
From there, up into Germany and to the Nurburgring. Obviously spend a day there, then West to Zeebrugge on the Belgian coast.
Jump on the ferry from there to Rosyth and home.
Anyhoos, thats a pretty rough plan. It wont be hardcore driving every day, i'll probably spend a few days at Monaco, Milan etc etc.
It will take between 10-14 days, depending on how many days i wanna spend relaxing and, well, getting blootered. :duffer:
The trip will be around 2500miles and will probably cost a feckin fortune. But thats why i'm planning it now.
Anyhoos, the reason im posting is to see if anyone has done anything similar, or knows any of these areas. Like i say, the route is only very rough just now, i'll be happy to change it to see some sights, experience some of the Alps roads etc. As long as there's no JCB's parked in the tunnels. :p So if anyone has any suggestions, feel free.
Also, at the moment there will be three cars going. My own, and two of my mates. Anyone who wants to join is more than welcome.
