Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground - Sunday August 20th

"On Your Marks" is a great charity day held at Bruntingthorpe, giving people the chance to be passenger in a wide range of sports/supercars while being thrashed around the quarter-mile track at high speeds. The event, organised by Asda employees, is held annually in memory of a popular depot colleague, and raises funds for cancer charity. It is usually only open to Asda employees and family/friends but I am able to obtain a limited number of guest passes to allow our club members into the day. There is also a small number of track passes, allowing you to thrash your Z around the circuit while scaring the jeezus out of donating passengers.

Can I see a show of hands for people who are interested in coming along as a guest, and also people who are interested in taking their Z around the track. A special half-hour instruction takes place before the day starts for those wishing to take it to the track.

hi mate. the passes that are on their way to you will get you and everybody in your car [friends+family] into the day (plus £5 at the gate). there is only one track pass there tho - this will let you take people around the track in your Z all day if you wish [you can come off track and sit in the 'pit stop' any time you want - there are marshals on-hand who co-ordinate the whole thing].

if your missus has her own car (another Z? but doesnt have to be a Z as long as its fast :D ) then she'll need her own track pass - i can post this out to you as well if you want, just let me know :)

ok folks ive nicked these two maps from last year's outing to Brunters . hope they help. if anyone wants to go up convoy-stylee i'll be waiting in the Asda Oadby car park (postcode LE2 4AH) at about 8:20 and leaving for Brunters at 8:30 prompt. Anyone wishing to go on-track needs to attend the briefing which starts at 9am. Guests to the day can turn up when they like :) just dont forget your passes :eek:
