Speeding!

Featured Replies

this is what fucks me right off about this country. I have worked so hard to pay my damn taxes (as high and higher as they go) and this is what our money is being spent on.

Wheres the sense in burglary or mugging getting a higher sense than rape or murder?? and to further this, wheres the sense in driving getting an even higher one?!!!

i mean FFS eveyone else can manage to run a country except for the british government who spend more time fucking around with everyone elses country and ignoring their own.

sorry just my opinion

Latz :-(

I agree mate!

Let's help every other fucker while we pay for it using the folks back home!

Not very big and clever having that letter leaked either about banning bikes from the country roads...FFS!!! mad.gif

Cars will be next to the point where countries like India who now have more and more cars on their roads. We're going backwards to the point where we'll all be riding around on fucking scooters and pushbikes and I ain't talkin' Choppers or BMX's either!!! wink.gif

As it says, Labour want to curb motor cycles, and if they were to get their way then next comes fast cars ..........so in the end just owning a sportscar or motorcycle could be an offence in its self. Remember that if the silly little laws sneak onto the statute books because they don't get much press then they can easily be hardened up later as we move from a nanny state to a prison state...ummmmm not good politics for the citizens. Damn I hate politics and politicians.

well i have to agree. The law is there for a reason.

160MPH You get what you desearve im afraid.

Speeding is always going to be looked upon in a bad way.

And no goverment stupid as they may be will ever stop a revenue as big as the motor industry.

At the end of the day, they have loads and loads of trackdays available for you to go mad on.

I sometimes go over the speed limit i wont lie, hell i sometimes wheelspin over the speed limit lol biggrin.gif(defo had brown undies that day not sure if hairsy did lol)

But you take a chance, and thats that. You cant tell me it does not piss you off when your standing in the local high street and some prat i a nova or renault 5 comes past doing 100 ????

thats what they want to stop more than anything else.

Have to agree, I think it's a bit of a growing up thing really. I've done some stuff in the past for which I'd probably have got locked up had I got caught at the time. But we all make our decisions and take responsibility for the outcomes, whether we plan to or not in the heat of the moment !

I don't have a problem with them enforcing speed limits on high streets. I do have a problem with them enforcing 30mph limits on dual carriageways and 70mph limits on clear, dry motorways at 4am.

Agreed, but I have no problem with limits being enforced - as long as the limits are appropriate !

I just wanna get into Supragirls snickers! ROFL biggrin.gif

this is the problem, they tend to generalise and it would also be nice if the traffic cops could use a bit of discression.

In Germany on the autobhans that have no speed limit, they can still pull you over if you drive like a wanker.

I think you'll find that's changed slightly mate since you were last in sausage land!

I've heard that areas of Autobahn which were NO LIMIT have now been restricted and SPECCS cameras are also appearing dude man. So be careful when you go over for your Nurburgring piece drive. wink.gif

All this is very true but it still dont disguise the fact that speeding and being caught for harm that could have been POSSIBLY done warrants a 1 year sentence.

Not wishing to stir anything but you see people who ACTUALLY cause harm get away with less? wheres the justice in that.

Fin, you get caught, you do the time like this motorist did. but why does a motorist who didnt cause any harm get more of a sentence than someone who did?? i know each case is different, but just take a step back and look at it.

I agree entirely mate. Years ago our house got burgled then after me Da got the stuff replaced a few months later on the insurance we got hit again! FFS!

Worst of all it was someone I knew, anyway, finally the muppet show(Rozzers) finally managed to catch him. Usually they would block off his road, bang on his door with an arrest warrant. They would then hear a bike, usually a nicked KMX125 start and a chase would then ensue.

He used to out ride them everytime by using the dirt tracks etc.

When they did finally nick the fucker he was charged with about 17 burglaries of which ours was x 2! Another 34 were taken into account! He got 9 months and was out laughing in about 5!!! mad.gif

My point is made! wink.gif

Crime does pay, speeding evidently doesn't!!!

With burglery you can only be put in prison for doing 3 or more.

So I can burgle 2 houses and only get a warning.

No sorry they will probably make a point with me cos I am from a nice family, educated and never commited a crime, I would get 5 years.

If I was thick as pig shit, never went to school, always on the dole, had a drugs habit and burgled 10 houses a week, they would be sympathetic and give a warning and send me off the Jamacia for a holiday

SRRAE - you are so right m8!! absolutely sucks

Timmy - gimme his address and i will torch him for you

im 23 now. About 8 years ago my dad died of cancer and to cut a long story short he left me the only thing he had which was a Merc 350 SLC. My uncle (his brother!) sent off for the log book, forged my dads signature and sold the car. When we rang the police we were told that the vehicle no longer belonged to us as the log book was in someone elses name, we told them that we did not authorise the transfer and could they get the new owners to produce a receipt and they said we cant do that as it is now a civil matter!!!

So for 7 years we battled in court with every penny we had to get back what was an immaculate Merc which turned out to be an absolute state once they had finished with it.

and what about our money? cant get it back for us and cant claim damages. Thats justice for you.

Latz

Stuart,

Ain't that the f'kin truth, we don't come from broken homes or 'underpriviledged' estates so have nothing to blame any antisocial actions on, we, apparently, should know better.

Timmy, the problem is motoring does pay, all too quickly, ask for the evidence the next time you get photographed for 45 in contraflow, or 32 in Central London. I make no secret of the fact that I blat down some motorways, when the conditions are right, at twice the speed limit. I am however paying my road tax, vastly inflated fuel prices and my insurance, inc 5% tax! Victimless crime.

If some little shite knicks your zed, goes for a blast down the m/w, has his fun then torches your ride, he'll get a slapped wrist 'cause he's only 15, so you cant send him to prison, cant remove his right to drive a car cause he's not old enough, you can't fine him because he has no income and what money he does have he need for his fags! Who gets f'ked?

YOU! At every turn.

This country and government suck!

Tim

PS: Thanks for raising my blood pressure m8 biggrin.gif

Someone on the Soup thread has mentioned that in The Sun(so it must be fact! LOL biggrin.gif) that the Rozzers viewed the video illegally, that the guy was slowing down at all Non-National limits and was only nailing it on country roads!

I don't care what anyone says, the point is being broadened but nobody should be sent to prison for speeding! Now if he'd nicked the bike he probably would have got a lesser sentence even doing the speeds that he did.

sig.gif

your right timmy, i bet if i went out in the soup or zed, flew down the M/W and got caught at 160, i would get royally rogered by the rozzers!

but if i'd have nicked one of them first......

LOL WTF is that all about??!!!
