Remember I got my Z yesterday? Well it didn't have an immobiliser or anything last night and I was so worried someone was going to take off with it. Whenever I heard a deep noise I was straight to the window (damn my surround sound!).

Anyways today a guy is coming round to fit a Toad AI606 (any good?) and I got a stop lock pro this morning. hehe.

i still like that now, will not want to leave or take it anywhere! the only problem really knowing that some jealous git coulkd damage your car

the toad is ok, i got a toad sterling (very similar)

do what i did, threaten any toerags round your way with extreme violence and possibly death if they go anywhere near your car

hmm extreme violence sounds good. Funny I'd lock the door and the central locking is a lot quieter than what I'm used to so I'd be running around the car twice just to check the doors are locked. PEople probably looking out their windows thinking "now there's someone without an alarm, muhahahaha!"

love duffing chavs up its ace!!

many thanks to the safe n sound guys for that one!

If it a mobile Auto Elec, send him away one of them wrote off my mates Mitsi Legnum VR4 fitting a Clifford

He used a test lamp to find a pulse and blew the wiring loom diode's now the ECU's can't talk to each other (the car has an ECU for Engine, ABS, gearbox, TCU and power distribution thing) the car's value is £7000 and changing the loom cost's more than the car WTF!!!

Even with the alarm and immobiliser you still end up worrying is that mine going off and make the mad rush for the front door bandishing a heavy implement or very large knife only to find next doors cat has jumped onto it's bonnett. :D

how sensitive are these toad alarms? Can you imobbilise it without the alarm? Dont want it goin off if a cat jumps on it.

The toads good mate, but i had to buy an extra kit so that it would do the cental locking...something about it being japanese?! cost me a few extra quid, i have a Dual zone proximity sensor on mine, set low but still sets off when it rains heavy !!!

tried that one when one threw a biscuit (i thought it was a stone) at my car whilst i was reversing in the driveway.. i chased them with a wheel brace.. ended up causing more hassle.

still not got an alarm though. :p

It's been installed now but as the passenger side lock does not activate the central locking, he needs to come back to put a solenoid(?) into the door so it will work.

Was just reading a site on security and one of the tips was "do not put stickers of the make of alarm in your window as it will help experienced car theives beat the alarm".

What do you guys think? The guy installing mine put toad stickers in the window when he'd finished.

I had wondered about that but how about if they bring their own wheel?

your not the only batman around you know
