I hate my doctors surgery with a fooking vengance, but mainly I detest teh stroppy cows at teh reception. The last place I ever want to go is a Doctors Surgery, when I dont feel well, the last thing I want to have to be experiancing is a receptionist and a doctor who dont want to be dealing with sick people.

A doctors surgery that answers the flipping phone would be a nice start.

My local surgery is very good. Not got a bad work to say about it. It's quite modern though and very airy. Receptionist is always smiliey and the doctors are as well.

can we swap

There terrible they always ask me to go into what the problems are i say sorry are you a doctor?and you have to book to weeks in advance to see doctor. :headvswal

At my local surgery we have 2 receptionists (who job share I think) and one of them is really nice and helpful with good customer skills the other is just an unhelpfull, po-faced, scumsucking arsey bitch.

I don't know i tend to flirt with them, last one was a honey :D

was she on work experience :x:

My local GP health centre has useless cows on reception who are engaged most of the time. Often i have to go in person to book a GP appointment. Its not to bad for me but if i was a 80 year old frail chappy who cant get out and about much it would really be a bugger.

Oh yea I ove the "whats wrong with youo" question, as iff im going to tell them in front of a room full of peoaple.

One old girl staggered in to see the doc, got as far as the reception and they told her she had to come back tomoro and make an appointment.

I told them what I thought of them, gae the old girl mine (appointment) then got a snotty letter from teh doctor about wasting their time.

Wrote one back about with a copy I sent to the complaints people about how they treated the old girl. get this, the complaints people where unable to assit in the matter as the lady in question had to raise the issue.

Took my daughter in last Thursday for an appointment that was booked over a week before. They'd booked it for the following Thursday instead... (just over 2 weeks from when the booking was made). So we had to wait 45 minutes or so until there was a doctor available. 45 minutes is quite a long time for a 16 month old!

We saw the doctor, who checked to make sure her ear infection had cleared up OK and told me to make another appointment for 2 to 3 weeks time. Told that to the receptionist who explained that you can't make appointments 2 weeks in advance as "it's policy and the computer won't allow it". :headvswal It's odd that they managed to do exactly that when they got the original appointment wrong!

Then to add insult to injury I got a call from the nursery 45 minutes after dopping my daughter off there to say that she had chicken pox. The doctor hadn't noticed despite the first spots being around her ears...

Mine are OK, but then, I'm a regular so they look after me :p

see there was I thinking it was only me

problem is we cant vote with our feet, were stuck, just like the bloody dentists (however I dont go to these due to geting ripped of, pays to go private once in a while just to make sure)

My docter would not see me once as i was 10 minutes late ! he said i should have called in, I said i was driving so could not! He said not his problem. I called him a power crazy egotistical meglomaniac Nazi. He pointed at a sign about zero tolerance on abusive patients. I pointed at his jobsworth obnoxius receptionist and asked where her warning sign was ?

I walked away in total disgust.

Now when i go if they dont see me at the allocated appointment time i walk up to reception and quite politely state in a loud informative way that they are late for my appointment and they have not called me or walked over and told me they are late. At which point im usually looked at in a completely dazed and confused state by everybody in there.

If its good for me then its good for them .

I fookin hate em  :D

don't spose you go to valkyrie do you chris? they are rude as hell in there at reception, gave me great joy in handing over my last urine sample though, didn't think their faces could wrinkle up much more :D

my aunts GP refused to sent her for tests on her lungs when she complained about them hurting, she ended up having to pay 160quid to see a private dr who told her she had lung cancer :(

cant remember the last time i went to the doctors!!!

must have been years now!

have got private medical for if i do need anything done though.

Mine was fine until i started dating the receptionist, (great body though lol) :nana2:

yea i head about valkire, used to live next to IlGatapardos as a kid, mates avoided going there.

I tihnk its a cunning plan to keep us healthy.

I can't book an appointment with my GP for a future date, I've got to phone up on the day or turn up. It usually takes a couple of tries to get through on the phone though.

Fortunately my mum is good friends with one of the receptionists so don't get any hassle from them.
