Still not got it back . . .

Ok, so i guess i should tell you all why i dont have it should i . . .

He got the car running, was idling nicely sounded fantastic apparently and then just as i was coming round the corner cambelt jumped,

but guess how far . . . . . 7 fooking teeth FFS,

So he now has to take the front end apart a little . . . re-allign it, hope that it start and then if it does put on a new cambelt.

Im just praying it does no damage,

Should i be able to claim this on warrantee as engine was sold to be in good condition, also AAC valve was knacked

So sick (did enjoy last thread though  )

Just seen this - ouch you never have much luck with that car!

Hope it gets sorted one way or the other. Fingers crossed bud.

not being funny mate but what kind of fookin mechanic wouldnt check that first? think your being ripped off! how much is he charging per hour?

dear Oh dear, was hoping for better news this time bird,oh well, keep on going, you'll get there, think 7 teeth drop you will be ok,once helped a former member whos Z took me about 2 hours to start, hardly any power, ran like bag spanners, eventualy got it to Jeff TT and am sure he found belt had slipped about same amount, fingers crossed.

Tony

Good luck M8.

I'll put in a good word for you so Jason Duz Nee Ban Ya

Not checking the cambelt is tight enough is dangerous on any car let alone a Z. I would be cautious to use him again.

PS: make sure he bolted the engine in?

When you fit a second hand engine in a car you always change cambelt and pulleys everyone knows that, TBH it's the mechanic's fault not the suppliers so if anyone is to blame it's him.

Good luck, and sorry about your probs.

sorry to hear this bird,as said already that is the mechanic's fault,if HE has done any damage to your engine,i would make sure he absorbs any costs to repair it.

Paul

****in hell, just take it to a specialist and sort it once and for all mate! :)

Just not having any luck with that car at all are you? Jesus, oh well keep your pecker up lad it'll sort itself out sooner or later.

Think karma! You've had all the crap so it's going to be a fookin excellent car when you get it back fully working :)

Damage may depend on which cam slipped and in which direction, so fingers crossed .....

Hope you get it sorted bud, but I must agree with the above comments about the mechanic not being much cop as I am no mechanic and did my 60K service with help from my dad but my cambelt has never slipped and runs well.

it is plug and play!!! any even half decent mechanic would have put it in checked it and would now be running, seriously how much is he charging? bcoz he is laughing at u mate, is this the same guy that charged u a days labour when the engine didnt turn up?

to be honest it hadn't actually looked ba when i saw it to be honest and it all seemed tight enough too.

either way its happened

Sounds like a description of some off my past ladys LOL.Hope it all sorts out ,feel for yer Bud.
