Thank god for Luke at the Zcentre! the guy's a god in my books. its a simple story to start with........ man has zed, man buy's rear glow dials off of ebay, man fits dials to zed, man mistakenly removes to needles and their for ruins dash, mans power steering goes because little did he know that ecu needs coms with speedo or something. (deadline til mot 2 weeks). man phones everywhere to try and source new dash! after 4 to 6 hours man contacts zcentre, during this 45 min call man not only gets all the info needed to repair problem but also gets a number for AndyZ at supercarparts! after a call to andyz and a quick paypal transaction man has a complete unit for an imported non turbo 91 lwb zed being shipped. 4 days later mans dash arrives. (9 days til mot) man re fits some bits to zed (as instructed by luke) so he can drive said zed, time passes, (1 day til mot) man re fits last bit back to dash and drives to work, during drive man notices that neither indicator is working, man contacts luke (at 8pm) luke talks man through everything possible from fuse location (as import fuse cover is not in english shall we say) turns out after a period of consultation that is the incorrect alignment of the hazard switch meaning it doesn't fully return to the off position. mans car now ready to pass mot tomorrow. how, how does he know we'll everything. he's like the rain man of the zed world..... think i shall refer to him as luke vader for he surely has the force...

 

 

 

 

thank you luke for all you've done, funny thing is i've never actually bought anything from him.. what a top bloke. my zed will be fine now i'm sure..... unless the pink squidgy mass behind the wheel decides to make any more improvements

Went down to see him myself last year and all i can say is TOP BLOKE :bow: The mans a god when it comes to helping people with they zeds and he always has all the time in the world to help you get whatever needs sorting out done. :bow:

i'm too far away down here in depest darkest berkshire but i must admit i intend on planning a trip up to take him out for a drink! will be another marathon zed outing for me, think i'll tell the misses i'm just running in the phalangie or something

dunno but at the end of the day i just wanted to say thanks to someone who some of you know and some of you don't, trader or not he's a bloke who saved me on more than one occasion, and i think form time to time you should say thanks, its like if soemone stopped to offer to help me change a spare tyre, even though i wouldn't need their help i'd still thank the for the trouble they took when they didn't have to and Luke Vader has certainly gone out of his way more than once to help me.

Dunno, he didn't respond to our calls, PM's or emails.

I know he's not much of an Internet guy, so what I think we'll do, if we ever get in touch, is offer him a banner ad, rather than a forum, it'll probably be more use to him.

like i say each to their own, i know nothing about cars, i hold my hands up to that! at 30 i'm not the oldest fuddy duddy out their its very rare i'll even text from my phone, if you don't wanna phone then no one including me will force you and i do understand your opinion but like i say for me i prefer the personal touch, even when i buy from ebay i contact the vendor by phone to check things out, i try not to buy things from halfords and opt to shop at places like rallycross motorsports and mrc motorsports, little shops where its more about getting what you need rather than brousing at cr8p! shops like that rely on reputation and customer service so if they rip you off or mess you about they get a bad name, then rather than having a lower than normal take they go under.. i'm sure you would appreciate good service and demand good quality, now i can't say either way in this case as i've never bought anything from him, nor did i know if he was or wasn't a trader, this was not the idea behind this post. i just wanted to say thanks to someone who has helped me, and i for one will more tha likely phone him the next time i need something because as a builder i'm not near my pc til the evening, and generally if somethings gonna go it'll be when i'm at work. the other people who have posted here praising him too is not my doing, i just wanted to say thanks, and maybe offer other people who may have used him and not got round to thanking him the oppertunity to do so! he may not even look at this post so it maybe completely pointless but hey i feel better for the experience.

luke is the most usefull guy I have spoken to about anything to do with the 300zx yes hes not so good with the internet but give the guy some slack hes old school if you check out his new web site you will see that the way its set up is to eliminate the problem with emailing and asking for stuff you just add to basket and pay job done I would rather have someone whos not so hot on emailing back but sends me good products at good prices then someones whos super fast at replying to emails and sends you junk at the same price!
