i used to own a genuine, fiesta rs1800, which was slightly tuned to aropund 150 bhp, was also lowered with 15" wheels

 

now i can confidentaly say thta it out handeled the zed by quite a margin, so unless you really new how to get the most out of your zeds handling then it would be very close IMHO

well confidence is all you need. i think when my uprated intercoolers, ecu, boost jets, and fingers crossed new turbos go in i will be pumping 400bhp easy i recon so how can a 2ltr fiesta st keep up. think about it the fiesta owner are prob gonna be load of kids who been driving for no longer than a year. well dunno about you guys but i have faith in the Z and its insulting to even think a fiesta would stand a chance

A lot of issues with handling are down to your own driving styles. Different cars suit different people (which is why every race drivers has a different setup to every other driver).

 

However the only sort of corners a small hatchback would possibly be able to go quicker around would be very slow tight corners, maybe. There is no way a fwd hatchback could stick with a zed on anything other than that.

 

However, The zed has quite a complicated suspension setup, and its harsh on its suspension components. Original, Worn shocks/springs/bushes make a dramatic affect on handling, compared to more mundane cars, and any zed past 50k/12years on original components, is running around on severly worn suspension.

exactly mate thats my point it the bend is too sharp thats when drifting comes in :) well we should offer them a challenge. its not only a fiesta but its a ford lol. all components are made of plastic

Agreed. A Clio 182 Sport will crucify a wobbly old Zed on knackered suspension.

On a more serious note, I've seen a 2.0 Nova Turbo wiping the floor with a Supra TT Now I know most people on here hate the Nova and would claim that the Supra owner didn't know how to drive. But fit a set of coilovers to one and they can really be thrown round a track like nothing else and if you have anything like 200bhp in something that size, it'll be a tough match.

 

So maybe some people should care as they may just get a little bit embarrased by one. If I was into taking my Zed on a track, I'd not try and race a stripped out 2.0 Nova Turbo or anything within that remit. as it would most probably hand my ass to me on a plate.

Agreed. I doubt his is 200bhp. Unless his has a Supercharger or Throttle Boddies (which he hasn't) and no way will he get 320 out of it unless he has either of the previous two mods AND 150shot of Nitros.
