Car Pagers...........................

If you are interested i have a job lot of pagers for your cars. They don`t need a car alarm to work and there are only 4 wires to connect. They have a range of 500m, which isn`t the worlds best but is better than nothing.

If you want one i can knock them out at £35.00 inc. postage. Give me a call on 07770 268705 and i`ll get them sorted.

how do they work bob what is there use im just a bit stupid when it comes to that.

another thing i want ot ask you is, i saw a car over here with eletric door handles when you arm the alarm and you touch the door handle it gives you one hell of a shock, can you do this cause then i am keen

The pager arms itself 30 secs after you close the door. Depending on if you have an alarm or not you can tap into the door wire (red and white going into the back of the dash)which also covers the boot, or into your alarm siren. Then if a door/boot is opened or the siren goes off the pager will let you know.

As for the other, it can be done (is is a gadget so i can do it!!) Best call me as they are illegal.

Hi - I just got my pagers...

Looks interesting... has anyone mounted their's yet, it unfortunatley comes with a huge 3 x 5 inch grey plate to stick on a window. Has anyone got around this ugly part by either hiding it somewhere that doesn't effect the transmission too much or by wiring it up to something else... such as the heated rear window / phone aerial... although I should think it's a really really bad idea to do that!!!

Cheers,

Jez.

Stick it behind your tax disc, you won`t notice it then.

Bob,

Can you email me with your address & payment details. I gunna have to give it a go. Might help me sleep better.

Cheers, Andy

Ta Bob,

I would try behind that tax disc, but that's my phone aerial!

Jez,

As I wanted one of these; if your mate doesn't want your spare one, I'll take it off your hands.

Steve

you had better keep one for me bob im comming back on the 22nd of this month

Bob's suggestion to connect it to the alarm siren cable sounded tops, as it would only trigger the unit when the alarm is about to go off and enabled. But thinking again, when returning to the car and making the alarm do it's on/off chirps would also set it off, right? Or is this not enough to trigger it?

(I'd rather not disable the chirping stuff, not that I'd know how anyway!)

Any other suggestions before I wire it into my mates car next Friday?

Jez, let me know what alarm the car has and i`ll let you know which wire to go to.

If it hasn`t got an alarm and it is a Z then take the dash cover off and look behind it, on the left at the back there is a loom going into the dash. Find a Red and White wire, this is the warning light wire for the doors and boot. Connect the wire from the pager that is for a Neg. trigger.
